Pay by UPI, card or net banking
Residents pay inside the app through Razorpay. Money settles to the society's account, not to a committee member's phone.
Invoices and receipts
Every due has an invoice; every payment gets a receipt residents can download or share as a PDF.
Automatic reminders
Overdue flats get reminders automatically, so the treasurer doesn't have to chase people one by one.
Cash and cheque reconciliation
Admins record offline payments so the ledger covers every flat, however they paid.
Recurring and ad-hoc dues
Monthly maintenance plus one-off levies — painting, repairs, festival contributions — with line items such as late fees.
Expenses alongside collections
Record what the society spends, so the committee can show members both sides of the books.
The details
Why maintenance collection is the committee's biggest headache
In most Indian societies, collecting maintenance looks the same every month: payments arrive through a mix of UPI to someone's personal number, bank transfers with no reference, cheques and cash. The treasurer matches them up by hand, chases the flats that haven't paid, and writes receipts. Disputes about who paid what can surface months later at the AGM.
How Community Hub handles it
- Raise dues once — monthly maintenance and ad-hoc charges show up in each resident's app with a clear breakdown.
- Residents pay in the app — UPI, debit or credit cards, or net banking, processed by Razorpay.
- Paperwork is automatic — invoices and receipts are generated for every due and payment.
- Reminders go out on their own — overdue flats are reminded without anyone posting names in a group.
- Offline payments still count — admins record cash and cheque payments so the picture is complete.
What the committee sees
Admins get a view of how collection is going — what has come in, what is outstanding and which flats are overdue — plus the society's recorded expenses. Residents see their own dues, payment history, invoices and receipts, which removes most of the "did you receive my payment?" back-and-forth.
Getting your existing data in
Most societies already have a spreadsheet of flats, owners and outstanding amounts. We migrate that data for free, and new communities get a 3-month trial. If you're dealing with long-standing arrears, our guide on collecting dues from defaulters and our explainer on how maintenance charges are calculated may help.
Frequently asked questions
What payment methods are supported?+
UPI, debit and credit cards, and net banking, processed through Razorpay inside the app.
Are there transaction charges?+
Online payments are subject to the payment gateway's processing charges. Contact us for the current rates and app pricing after the 3-month trial.
Can we still accept cash and cheques?+
Yes. Admins record offline payments, and they appear in the same ledger as online payments.
Do residents get receipts?+
Yes. Every payment generates a receipt that residents can download or share as a PDF, along with the invoice for the due.
Can tenants pay instead of owners?+
Yes. Owners and tenants are both linked to the unit, so whoever is responsible can pay.
