Emergency SOS for Your Society

When something goes wrong, a resident shouldn't be hunting for the guard's number. One deliberate press alerts the people who can help inside the community.

    Hold-to-confirm button

The SOS button on the home screen needs a deliberate hold and confirmation, so pocket presses don't raise false alarms.

    Admins and guards alerted

The alert goes to the society's admins and security guards as a priority notification.

    Acknowledge, call, resolve

Guards and admins acknowledge the alert, call the resident and mark it resolved — open emergencies are listed first.

    Residents see the response

The resident can see their alert and who has responded, so they know help is coming.

    Fallback to emergency services

If the alert can't be sent, the app offers to call emergency services instead.

    A record of every alert

Past alerts stay on record so the committee can review response times and gaps.

    The details

Why a society needs an SOS button

In most apartments, the emergency plan is "call the guard". In a medical emergency or a break-in, that means unlocking the phone, finding the right number, waiting for someone to pick up and explaining which flat you're in — while the guard on duty may not even have their phone in hand.

    How Community Hub SOS works

    • Press and hold the SOS button on the resident home screen, then confirm.
    • The alert goes out to the society's admins and security guards with the resident's details.
    • Someone takes ownership — a guard or admin acknowledges it, calls the resident and heads to the unit.
    • It gets closed — once handled, the alert is marked resolved and stays on record.

What SOS is — and isn't

SOS is designed to get help from inside your community fast: the guards at the gate and the committee members on call. It is not a replacement for 112, an ambulance or the fire brigade, and if the alert can't be delivered the app offers to call emergency services directly. It works best as part of a wider plan: a posted list of emergency numbers, guards who know where the fire extinguishers and first-aid kit are, and regular drills.

    For the committee

Every alert is recorded with who responded and when it was resolved. That gives the committee something concrete to review with the security agency, instead of anecdotes.
